Chanel has begun the assembly of a space that will house all its Metiers d’Art under one roof. Located in the Parisian district of Porte d’Aubervilliers, the establishment will have five storeys and two basement levels. The eco-friendly building has also been equipped with linked work rooms to support the production efforts of its occupants, thanks to French architect Rudy Ricciotti’s smart use of space and flow. Due for completion in 2020, the upcoming site honours Gabrielle Chanel’s love for Parisian artisanal excellence and the city’s status as the world’s fashion capital.
