Pierpaolo Piccioli conjured a vision of beauty so powerful it brought tears to the eyes of many a showgoer. Besides the exaggerated, Jean Shrimptoninspired bouffants that stole the show, there were gorgeous capes, romantic ruffles, intricate embroidery and sweet candy hues that materialised from a moodboard that referenced artworks by Gustav Klimt and Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard, or characters from novels by the likes of Virgina Woolf and James Joyce.
