TOAST OF THE TOWN

Nestled within Shangri-La Hotel is Origin Grill, a cosy, cavernous dining destination that is at once elegant and inviting. Fresh, authentic flavours and quality produce drive the menu, with a starring role belonging to the bespoke beef selection. This festive season, indulge in a sumptuous selection—of both set menus and à la carte dishes—celebrating the finest seasonal ingredients. Whet your appetite with the handpicked mud crab and zucchini carpaccio garnished with lemon, fennel, mint and dill on Christmas Eve; treat yourself to a Williams River Cross Bred Wagyu tenderloin on Christmas Day, or savour the Acquerello aged risotto with asparagus, British stilton crème, apple and watercress on New Year’s Eve.

SKY HIGH

Nothing goes better with a celebratory meal than a panoramic view. Spanning across two floors of National Gallery Singapore, Aura serves up classiccontemporary Italian cuisine at its restaurant and rooftop Sky Lounge. Ring in the festivities by taking in the Marina Bay skyline as you tuck into one of its specially created festive menus, featuring luxurious twists on traditional favourites like the Turkey and Foie Gras Roll with chestnut, kalettes and mulled wine sauce (part of the Christmas Eve dinner menu) or more unexpected, yet equally delicious, offerings like the Kagoshima Beef with smoked yolk, turnip and sansho pepper (part of the New Year’s Eve dinner menu).

ENCHANTED EVENING

A multi-sensory journey awaits you, and your nearest and dearest, when you book yourselves one of eight spots to a 10-course festive dinner at Stellar at 1-Altitude’s Dom Pérignon Plénitude Suite from 22 to 25 December. Not only will your tastebuds be delighted by ingredients sourced from the best regions around the world, video projections, and the use of aromas, touch and music will engage your other senses to ensure you are fully immersed in the yuletide spirit. At the end of the night, gather around the table as you would around a fireplace, and watch as the pastry chef assembles a delectable dessert extravaganza in front of your eyes. There are panettones, and then there are Dolce&Gabbana’s panettones. If you happen to find yourself in Milan, stop by Martini Bar and pick up one of two delicious original creations from the collaboration between the Italian luxury brand and panettone specialists, Fiasconaro: A white chocolate-coated Sicilian pistachio panettone that comes with a jar of velvety pistachio cream, or a panettone with Sicilian citrus fruits and saffron— gifts that are guaranteed to please.
