For thirty years,Yves Saint Laurent sent out handmade cards with the word “LOVE” as a New Year greeting to his nearest and dearest.As his personal talisman, hearts were a constant in his collections. His successors each went on to interpret the shape in their own way: Stefano Pilati with a heart cut-out dress in fall/winter 2005 and Hedi Slimane’s fuzzy red coat in his final collection for the brand in 2016.
