Which of your accessories are most meaningful to you?

My pearl earrings. They’re from my mum and were given to her by my dad—it was one of his first gifts to her. Pearls are also my birth stones. I like to wear things that have meaning. Especially as I get older, when I buy things, I think about whether I can pass them down to my children later on. When something special happens, such as births or the start of a new career, I usually get a little piece of jewellery to commemorate it. This Cartier Trinity ring is also meaningful to me because it represents my three children.

What pieces do you collect?

Family heirlooms. We have a lot of vintage jewellery from my great-grandfather. Eventually, I want to have like a little museum and create a story about those pieces for the children.

How has your style evolved with age?

I think when I was younger, I tried to follow what’s in, whereas now, I really stick to what I’m comfortable with and what looks good on me.

How would you describe your style?

Feminine, but also effortless. I like to look put together without looking like I’m trying too hard. Sunindar-Ratner wearing her own vintage MIKIMOTO earring, vintage Cartier watch, Cartier ring, bracelets from Carolina Bucci, Dior and Van Cleef & Arpels, other custom jewellery and AG Jeans.
