VIRTUAL RETROSPECTIVE
Italy’s Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare is running a retrospective exhibition on the late filmmaker and American Avant-Garde artist Robert Breer. Presenting his oeuvre of paintings, films and sculptures from the early 1950s to the year of his death in 2011, alongside audio guides by the Foundation staff, “Time Out” lays bare the artist’s preoccupation with the concept of time, and the boundaries between reality and the abstract. Till 5 June, enjoy the entire exhibition via a virtual tour at fondazioneantoniodallenogare.com.
BY THE THREAD
Museo Salvatore Ferragamo’s latest exhibition, “Seta” (or silk in Italian), pays tribute to the historical significance of the lustrous fabric while delving into archives of the House’s silk products, particularly its scarves, which has been a brand pillar alongside its shoes since the 1970s. Starting with an installation by Chinese artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu that touches on the Silk Road and its bridging of the East and West, the exhibition moves on to examine the creative process behind silk printing through the inspirations, ideas and visual mood boards that birthed each pattern. On till 18 April 2022, the exhibition can be enjoyed through a guided virtual tour at ferragamo.com/museo/en/silk.
