THE MODERN UPDATE
The key piece of Alessandro Sartori’s fall/ winter 2021 collection for Ermenegildo Zegna, which is all about relaxed sophistication, is the overshirt—which Sartori posited as an alternative to the blazer. Hitting the sweet spot between formal suiting and easy workwear, this new take on the blazer is softly tailored from wool, cashmere or linen and sports distinctive, utilitarian patch pockets. On the runway, it looked especially sharp and decidedly unstuffy when layered over the lightest of roll-necks.
