The Charlie sneakers mark Louis Vuitton’s first unisex sneaker as well as its most environmentally responsible shoe design to date. Available in both high-top and low-top versions, the sneakers are crafted from 90 percent recycled and bio-sourced materials, which include recycled rubber, recycled polyester, corn-based plastic and ECONYL, which is derived from nylon waste. Even the packaging has been carefully considered: The shoe bag is made from Tencel felt, which comes from renewable wood sources, while the shoe box (which doubles as a bag) is made of recycled cardboard.
