THE VISIONARY

American architect, systems theorist, inventor, designer and author Buckminster Fuller is best known for his invention of the geodesic dome. But his work spans multiple disciplines, with a focus on solving urgent global issues such as housing, shelter, transportation, education and energy. ArtScience Museum’s “Radical Curiosity: In the Orbit of Buckminster Fuller” exhibition shows how his vastly influential body of work continues to inspire today’s generation of architects, scientists and artists—especially on the sustainability front—and lays bare the genius of his mind.
