An ultra-fine powder that transforms into a luxurious foam on contact with water, this is enriched with both red camellia extract and red camellia oil to counter the primary signs of ageing—lines and wrinkles, a loss of elasticity, diminished radiance and obvious pores—while providing antioxidant protection from urban pollutants and maintaining the skin’s barrier function. Green warriors will no doubt be pleased with the eco design of the product, which is echoed throughout the range. The bottle itself, made from recyclable glass and with a lid made from recycled or bio-sourced materials, utilises fewer materials, while the packaging comes sans cellophane. As its name suggests, this lightweight lotion energises the complexion for an overall more youthful look. It is formulated with a high concentration of red camellia water, which works to maintain and help improve cellular vitality while affording protection against environmental aggressors.

No doubt the star of the range, this potent gel-textured serum is highly concentrated in red camellia extract, and has other actives such as caffeine and an algo-peptide that work in tandem to revitalise the look and feel of skin while supporting overall skin health. Expect less pronounced pores and wrinkles, with a visible boost in skin elasticity and smoothness. Absorbing easily sans tackiness, it leaves skin feeling fresh.
Revitalizing Eye Cream, $187
Apart from red camellia extract, which reduces puffiness and dark under-eye circles, this gel-cream is rich in camellia oil, plant-based squalene and hyaluronic acid to keep the eye area comfortably hydrated. It also has a light complex that helps illuminate the area for a fresh, bright-eyed look.
Revitalizing Cream, $167
This moisturiser with a whipped cream texture is formulated with red camellia extract and oil, which work to extend the longevity of skin cells and counter free-radical damage to stave off the effects of skin ageing. In a first for the brand, the cream comes in a refillable glass jar, with a lid that incorporates discarded shells of camellia seeds (from which oil is extracted)—underscoring the sustainability directive of the N°1 de CHANEL range.
