TALKING POINTS STICK ON, STICK OUT

From the worlds of Art, Culture, Travel and Design

-

American artist Shepard Fairey (think the Barack Obama “Hope” poster) sees stickers as “badges” of his culture, while local artist Sam Lo used them in guerrilla fashion to celebrate our idiosyncrasies. Now, local creative outfit GOFY is putting its distinct POV on the sticky scene with its World of Useless Stickers magazine. Collaborating with eight artists across the region, the collectible features designs that range from the funny to the absurd—but all in the name of good, nonsensical fun. Retailing for $30, the magazine can be bought at worldofuselessstickers.com (where you’ll find free downloadable digital stickers as well).
