FORM & FUNCTION
Virgil Abloh’s pre-fall collection was photographed around the Firminy complex built by Le Corbusier, one of the late designer’s most revered design heroes. It made for a striking backdrop to showcase a collection that cleverly blends the functional with the radical in its exploration of sportswear and workwear. Throughout the collection, the components of a suit are taken apart—remixed in new ways or given fresh proportions and tweaks. Wrap skirts are a key piece of the collection, while stripy mohair knits in multicoloured Monogram add a grungy whiff of teen spirit.
