A VISUAL JOURNEY

-

“Wu Guanzhong: Travelling with the Master” is the National Gallery Singapore’s first-ever exhibition that has been co-created with the docent community. From now till 30 October, 47 of the late artist’s works from the National Collection and rare archival materials will be showcased along with the personal stories and recollections of the museum’s long-serving volunteer guides: Gertrude Tan, Queenie Chow, Stella Rong and Tina Nixon, avid fans of Wu Guanzhong who have guided visitors through his exhibitions at the Gallery for the past seven years. The docents share insights into the life and art of an artist regarded as a founder of modern Chinese painting, peppered with the docents’ personal anecdotes, reflections and photographs.
