Designers have a way of taking an ubiquitous accessory and manipulating it in fresh and unexpected ways. Case in point is the good old belt. In its most creative interpretation, Alaïa, known for their form-fitting pieces, created an entire dress out of belts stitched together. Miu Miu doubled up on loops and belts as an interesting detail on its micro mini shorts. Belts in a mix of textures and widths took Peter Do’s simple and elegant white and black ensemble beyond basic.
