PEEK AT HISTORY

-

From Balestier to Kampong Gelam to Little India, the National Heritage Board’s latest “Street Corner Heritage Galleries” sees Chinatown getting its turn in the spotlight. Eleven heritage businesses—those with at least 30 years of history such as Bee Cheng Hiang, Eu Yan Sang, On Cheong Jewellery, and Tong Heng—have been roped in to co-curate mini exhibitions on their Chinatown premises to showcase their history through documents, photographs and other artefacts—all to heighten appreciation for heritage in everyday spaces. Head to go.gov.sg/schgchinatown for more details.
