Trust Audemars Piguet to blow the rainbow trend out of the water. While others might be content with a single watch bearing a spectrum of coloured gems, this Swiss Manufacture has released 10 white gold timepieces, each entirely paved with invisibly-set baguette-cut gems in a single hue, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak. In addition to rubies, emeralds and sapphires, comes a trove of tanzanites, chrysoberyls, tourmalines, amethysts, topaz, spessartites and tsavorites—gems that took about a year to source. This selfwinding collection is available in two sizes: The 37mm edition that features 153 different gem sizes and the 41mm with 179 gem sizes, for the ultimate in savoir faire.
