ANTHEA & VINCENT

Herworld Brides (Singapore) - - Wedding Albums -

Last year’s HerWorld Brides Cover Brides contest winner, Anthea Zhou, 29, married her beau, Vincent Lim, 30, in a secret-gardenthemed wedding.

IN JEJU Vincent popped the question with a handwritten letter at our cute and cosy Airbnb. It was really sweet and funny at the same time! Later on, he told me that his initial plan had been to propose in a canola field, but all those bright yellow flowers were wilted when we were there (laughs).

JOY AND TEARS We had a secret-garden theme for our wedding lunch. It was a light-hearted affair with 200 guests who had a good time laughing over our comedic prewedding video. But there were also plenty of tears when our appreciation video for our parents came on. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Seeing their reactions was well worth our efforts and those of Alanmitchi Cinematography.

A DAY TO REMEMBER Seeing Vincent for the first time that day had me excited, nervous, and surprisingly shy – which is so unlike me! The happiness I felt throughout was so surreal. Although we did run a little behind schedule, it was easily resolved. We had an awesome team of groomsmen and bridesmaids who ran our wedding well, and we can’t thank them enough.

5 Shots from their pre-wedding shoot made up part of the reception decor. 6 Guests were asked to share their advice on marriage in a handmade booklet. 7 Lush and whimsical floral centrepieces added soft romanticism to the banquet setting. 8 The reception area was jazzed up with a dreamy fairylit backdrop for photo taking. 9 Pouring the champagne. OPPOSITE “I fell in love with my wedding gown because of its back-lace details and how it complemented my body shape.” 9
