HIGHEST CAPACITY

Sony CP-F10L USB Portable Charger, 10,000mAh, $129.90.

At 260g, this charger may be the heaviest of the lot, but its behemoth capacity – 10,000mAh – more than makes up for its heft. You can recharge your battery fully – at about one per cent per minute – up to four times with a single charge. It also comes with two USB slots, so your man can resuscitate

his tablet at the same time.

Energizer XP3000, 3,000mAh, $59.90. ALL-ROUND

WINNER

We love how quickly this one charges our phone – the battery percentage went from 55 per cent to full in just 50 minutes (it charges at about one per cent per minute). At 135g, with a thickness of just 7.5mm, the sleek iPod- lookalike is also one of the lightest in the 4,000mAhcapacity category. It even comes with a touch screen display that allows you to turn the device on and off, and check the remaining charge capacity. This cheery cube is light and compact enough to t even in your minaudiere – naturally, don’t expect too much in terms of capacity or charging speed. Nevertheless, we love the eight different charger heads it comes with, making it compatible with any smartphone and portable game console. Another novel feature: shake the cube and the LED indicators light up, allowing you to check the power status. This comes with a reusable sticky pad that lets you attach your phone to the charger so the two devices stay neatly together while charging. It also has a retractable charging cable that prevents wire entanglement – especially useful if you need to use your phone while it’s charging (it takes a fair bit of time to charge any device fully – two hours for just 50 per cent of our phone’s battery). MOST THOUGHTFUL DESIGN

LIGHTEST

Innergie Pocketcell Duo, 6,800mAh, $139.

We like the Smart Charge feature and its two USB ports – the former detects the devices plugged in and delivers the right amount of power to the respective gadget, thus optimising the speed at which your gadgets are being charged. It’s also touted as the world’s lightest charger in the 6,800mAhcapacity category – it weighs just 132.5g.
