Ideally, we should be using a skin-nourishing face mask every week, but we are often too lazy or busy. Well, here’s a new mask from Yves Saint Laurent Beaute that will (hopefully) help you stick to your routine. The Forever Youth Liberator Intensive Mask ($89) gives you instant skin plumping and brightening results that will make you want to use it every day.
Most masks tend to have just one primary function – hydrate, exfoliate or brighten. This creamgel one reportedly does everything. It has an acidic chemical buffer to gently exfoliate and get rid of dead skin cells. It also has hyaluronic acid, urea and glycerine to moisturise and soften skin. Last but not least, it has glycanactif, a combination of three glycans that supposedly helps skin retain moisture and plumps up skin.
Think of this as a facial in a tube. But unlike a facial, where you have to lie still for at least an hour, this intensive mask works its magic in just five minutes.
I like to use this in the evenings after removing my makeup and cleansing my face. I apply a thin layer all over my face and neck before hopping into the shower. By the time I’m done showering, it’s time to rinse the mask off. It’s so easy to use – there’s really no excuse not to use a mask weekly now, is there?
