Ask your boss what it will take to meet or exceed your targets next year. Get her to be specific about the quality of work she wants to see from you or the behaviour she expects. Also ask if she can recommend someone who can guide you along the way – for example, a senior team member. This is a good time to ask for help or extra resources that will help you in your job, like a mentor or going for training courses.
