Hair salon owner Wong Jia Hui subscribes to Her World because his customers love reading, well, us. “I always make sure that we have the latest issue in the salon,” he says.
Jia Hui turned up at this year’s Beauty & Bridal Fair to renew his subscription and was rewarded for his loyalty with a Sharp refrigerator from the Butterfly series – the top prize in the Grand Draw. “I was really shocked but happy that I won!”
The annual Beauty & Bridal Fair is jointly organised by SPH magazines Her World, Female, Simply Her, Shape and
Nuyou, and was held from Nov 8 to 10 at Marina Square Central Atrium. Loyal readers started queueing up as early as 5am on the first day to renew their magazine subscriptions. The carrot? The chance to take home gifts such as a pair of pearl earrings from Goldheart worth $228 and a Sharp Healsio water oven worth over $1,000.
At the Beauty Fair this year: 15 booths where readers could learn more about the latest spa treatments, cleansing gadgets and wedding packages. Bridal salons took part in the fair for the first time this year, setting up booths where those who are planning to tie the knot could learn more wedding planning and packages. For those interested in feng shui, there were workshops on how to create a more smooth-sailing home environment.
On top of that, our readers enjoyed exclusive subscription discounts and received gifts that range from the latest home appliances to headphones, bags and beauty products. With purchases over $100, subscribers got a chance at the sure-win lucky dip. If they spent over $200, they had an additional chance in the Grand Draw – and we all know now who won the top prize, a Sharp refrigerator from the Butterfly series.
