We rubbed shoulders with celebs at a recent luxury label exhibition.
KAROLINA KURKOVA
This 29-year-old Czech supermodel seems to have done it all – she’s a former Victoria’s Secret Angel, an actress (she’s appeared in fi lms like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and a reality television star (she was a supermodel coach on The Face, alongside Naomi Campbell and Coco Rocha). Why do you love Chanel’s little black jacket? It’s a classic piece that will never go wrong – you can wear it with jeans or a pencil skirt, and even over a gown. I have two in my wardrobe. What’s your little secret indulgence? I love chocolate. I take “raw chocolate”, which is made without milk. I could have a piece every day. Singapore is a food paradise. So what did you have for breakfast today? Lots of fruit, salmon and chicken dumplings – which I love. What’s your everyday must-do? I teach my son (Tobin, aged 3) to be thankful for his food. He actually looks at his plate and says out loud: “Thank you, delicious food, for being so delicious.” It’s the cutest thing!
SONG HYE-KYO
This 31-year-old model-turnedactress is a darling of South Korean television and film fans. Her romantic dramas, 2004’s Full House and last year’s That Winter, the Wind Blows, garnered rave reviews and broke viewership records in South Korea. Spill... what is Karl Lagerfeld like? Incredibly friendly and gentle. Working with him will always be a happy memory for me. On your day off, you… Throw dinner parties! Having friends over for a home-cooked meal (complete with wine, of course) is something I love. The sexiest trait in a man is… Humour. What’s sexier than a man who knows how to laugh at himself? Plus, a witty man is definitely an intelligent man. Who’s your celebrity girl crush? I love Natalie Portman. As an actress, I’m so inspired by her. She’s always challenging herself with different roles and I admire that – it’s really brave. If you had to live in one place for the rest of your life, it would be… Paris or New York – I can’t choose! They’re exciting and something about them is very romantic to me.
