Melissa and Arica, and their cousin Charlyn, can’t get enough of minimalist looks.
Charlyn, who has worked at hip local multi-label boutique Surrender for almost three years, loves shopping online for black, white, grey and navy pieces – especially pointy-toe pumps, Celine bags, and clothes from Australian designers like Dion Lee.
Melissa, on the other hand, loves wearing pants. “They suit my petite frame best,” she says.
Arica, the youngest of the trio, experiments the most with hair colours ( purple, anyone?) and highstreet brands like Zara and Forever 21.
The sisters take their lead from Charlyn. “We always ask Charlyn for her opinion on what to wear and what to buy. We look at how she mixes high-street pieces and luxe accessories,” Melissa tells us.
But there’s plenty of mutual admiration here. Charlyn says: “Melissa has a con dence about her, and she always gets noticed rst! And Arica just looks good in whatever she’s wearing – she can even pull off a Harajuku-inspired look effortlessly.”
The best thing about having a super-stylish cousin? Melissa and Arica get to borrow Charlyn’s bags and accessories. “It’s like we share a big wardrobe. They’re welcome to take whatever they want, any time!” says Charlyn.
Arica is wearing a Wonder Place jacket, Zara dress and Forever 21 shoes. Charlyn is wearing an Elizabeth and James top, Ellery skirt, Chanel shoes, and Hermes, Van Cleef & Arpels and Tiffany & Co. bracelets. Melissa is wearing an Editor’s Market top, Halem pants, Celine choker and Charles & Keith shoes.
