PLEXR PLASMA EYE LIFT
What:
It is the non-invasive alternative to blepharoplasty – the surgical x for droopy eyelids that removes excess skin, muscle and fat. It utilises plasma, an ionised gas that manifests as tiny electric bolts, to stimulate the contraction of skin bres in the upper or lower eyelid.
Besides not having to cut the skin to remove fat, the treatment reportedly works on only the target areas (it doesn’t affect surrounding tissue or the skin’s deeper layers).
How:
It’s performed under topical and/or local anaesthesia. “The tip of the Plexr device is applied in a specic order and manner to tighten excess skin in the area,” says Dr Si.

• Dr Lam Bee Lan, medical director at Ageless Medical Centre, describes it as “an innovative eye lift and eyelid treatment technology that’s great for correcting uneven folds around the double eyelid without surgery.” • However, Dr Georgia Lee, medical director at TLC Lifestyle Practice Clinic, feels that the downtime can be relatively long. “Expect the treated area to swell. Scabs will start forming from the second day onwards, but fall off within a week.”
