From rookie-easy to Captain Planet-tough – how everyone can do their bit for Earth.

Let’s face it – for most of us, convenience always trumps being ecofriendly. But that’s the kind of attitude that will saddle us with a future where there’s more plastic in our oceans than fish. In Singapore alone, we generated more than 800 million kg of plastic waste last year – and just 6 per cent of this was recycled. We know breaking up with plastic is painful, so start small, then work your way up.

The June 2018 issue of National Geographic has the low-down on how plastic is harming our planet. Get more details at planetorplastic. Picture courtesy of National Geographic.
