Chanel’s plumping, shiny and longlasting lipstick.

Even if your lips are hidden by a face mask, having a lipstick on just makes you feel more confident and put together.

Chanel’s new Rouge Coco Bloom ($54), an extension of the Rouge Coco lipstick range first launched in 2015, is a combo of colour, lasting hold and shine that took three years and 140 tests to achieve.

Behind the R&D is a patented two-phase technology: The first phase sets the colour on application, then the second kicks in to give a shiny and lip-plumping effect. Chanel says you can expect the hold to last for up to eight hours, and lips to look visibly plumper and smoother.

We love how this lipstick glides across and stays on our lips – even under a mask. We used it while at the gym, and found that it stayed on after an intensive workout and numerous gulps of water. There was minimal transfer onto our face masks

After six hours, the Rouge Coco Bloom did not sink into lip lines – lips still looked full and felt softer too. It didn’t feather by day’s end either.

Another huge plus: the colour payoff is more intense than the other Rouge Cocos. And it’s hydrating enough that you won’t need a lip balm.

The range comes in 20 wearable shades of nudes, pinks and deep reds, including eight signature hues. Smooth and plump lips, with long-lasting colours that stay put under our masks? Let this lipstick do the talking. Available at Chanel stores from March 26, 2021 and all counters from April 7, 2021.
