Two women tell us how they feel about going back to the office...

-

“I share a room with my sister, and because we're both working from home, the arrangement hasn't exactly been ideal. Apart from having to be around each other round the clock, one of us also has to take a call in the living room whenever we both have calls at the same time – this can be exasperating because we live with four other family members, and there's always a lot of hustle and bustle happening in the house. Even though I'm not looking forward to the morning crowd on the MRT train, I'm looking forward to going back to the office and having a cubicle to myself. I also can't wait to be able socialise with my colleagues a lot more often.” – ESTHER, 29

“I'm a mother of three, and I'm more stressed out working from home than in the office. In working from home, I take on more than I already do on a daily basis because I want my physical presence to make a difference, so even though my workload is as heavy (if not heavier) than before, I have taken over the meal planning from my helper and also spend a lot more time with my kids. I have yet to go back to the office, but I must admit that I'm looking forward to it. I think the ‘breathing space' will take some weight off my shoulders.” – SHERYL, 32
