The latest Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 puts its best face forward.

Enjoying a cool summer breeze in the Maldives, or walking down Rodeo Drive – those are just some of the destinations that the 2021 version of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 takes us to. Featuring a palm motif inspired by lush tropical forests, the eye-catching face comes in three colours, but retains all the iconic elements of the timepiece.

The palm motif dial radiates with vitality, springing to life as light hits the surface. Made from age-old materials such as copper, zinc, nickel, chromium, titanium and silicon, it’s only through cutting-edge technology and the experience of the brand’s artisans that make it possible to create such deep and vibrant metallic colours.

The palm motif takes centre stage on three of the new watches, which all come equipped with the new generation calibre 3235 and Superlative Chronometer certification. This version of the Datejust 36 comes in Oystersteel and with an Oyster bracelet. The palm motif also decorates the golden dial of a yellow Rolesor version (combining Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold) fitted with an Oyster bracelet, while the silver dial can be found on an Everose Rolesor version (combining Oystersteel and 18 ct Everose gold) on a Jubilee bracelet. This version of the Datejust 36 is crafted from Rolex’s proprietary Oystersteel, a steel alloy that is particularly resistant to corrosion, and acquires an exceptional sheen when polished. The 36 mm Oyster case of the Datejust 36 is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100m. The crystal is made of virtually scratch-proof sapphire, and is fitted with a Cyclops lens at 3 o’clock for easy reading of the date.
