From bold colours to fab cuts, lowdamage perms, anti-ageing hair treatments and scalp fixes, these 38 Hair Awards winners make every day a great hair day.

Anew normal calls for new changes, and we made them in the hair services and treatments we opted for in the past year. We’ve turned to vibrant colours to inject positivity into our lives, included face framing shades that complement mask-wear, and also looked for cuts that grow out well, allowing us to prolong our salon visits. And, to deal with the stress of ever-evolving changes in our lives, we went for treatments to strengthen hair and improve scalp health. On this page, we present the year’s five top winners – the salons, centres and a haircare brand that impressed with their skills, service and results. Read on for the full list of winners.

Papilla Haircare, #05-25A/B Ngee Ann City, tel: 6465-4565

The range of hair and scalp treatments uses advanced technology that combines patented cultured cells, amino acids, proteins and vitamins.

Signature treatments include DNA Activator ($220, trial price $98), which uses low electric pulses via iontophoresis and ionisation to combat hair thinning, and the SEP Activator for Hair Loss ($450, trial price $128), which incorporates varying pulse energy and a needlefree transdermal delivery system to infuse the active nutrients deep within. The treatments are suitable for those with sensitive scalp too. Our tester says: “Even at the end of the following day, my scalp still felt clean, balanced and not itchy at all.”

The Artisan Clinic, #07-01 Paragon Medical Suites, tel: 8879-7887

Besides aesthetics treatments, The Artisan Clinic also offers hair and scalp care treatments. To combat hair thinning, The Artisan Hair Regrowth Treatment ($450) uses a D.E.P (dermoelectroporation) machine to infuse hair growth factors and peptides into the scalp, while The Artisan Potenza Hair Treatment ($1,500) uses ultra-fine needles and radio frequency to trigger the scalp’s natural healing process. Testers say they saw a noticeable reduction in hair fall after the treatments.

Yann Beyrie, #03-01D Wisma Atria, tel: 6235-2476

Must-tries include Treatment Haircut with director Yann, $199, and Colour with master designer Anthony, from $159. Our tester says: “My hair felt lighter after the cut, and my colour was very well done – the process changed the overall look and feel of my hair. Plus, it’s easily styled and managed, thanks to the tips from Yann and Anthony.”
