FULL SPEED AHEAD
Meet the timepiece that’s great for both work and play.
If you’re looking for a stylish watch that’s bold and versatile, why not consider the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200? With a history that spans four decades, the all-terrain luxury tool watch looks sophisticated enough for the boardroom, yet will not be out of place on the slopes or underwater.
The first iteration of the Aquaracer was created by Jack Heuer in 1978. Back then, it was known as the Heuer Reference 844. Designed for adventure and the outdoors, it could withstand extreme conditions, and perform well both on land and in water.
In 2004, the model was renamed Aquaracer, and over the years, it’s come to be regarded as one of TAG Heuer’s signatures, alongside the much-loved Monaco and Carrera.
SIGNATURE DESIGN Hot on the heels of the Aquaracer Professional 300 in 2021, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has introduced the Aquaracer Professional 200 this year.
The latest launches all carry the brand’s six signature design codes: a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, water resistance of at least 200m, luminous markings, a sapphire crystal, and a double safety clasp.
Choose from two sizes: The 40mm model looks sportier, while the 30mm, with its smaller frame and white diamonds adorning some of the models’ indexes, is decidedly more feminine.
Both sizes have options that come with either automatic or quartz movements. The difference? Automatic references have slightly “smokier” gradient dials, date windows and detailed minute tracks, while the quartz versions have solid coloured dials and no date windows.
FORM AND FUNCTION
“If you look at the Aquaracer Professional 200, you can see our intention to create an everyday watch that still has the tool watch look that TAG Heuer lovers have come to expect from the icons of the past… It’s an evolution of all this history,” says Guy Bove, creative director of the Swiss manufacture.
In Singapore, the Aquaracer is arguably one of the brand’s best-selling collections here. With its sleek lines, practicality and high functionality, it’s easy to see why this would be a crowd favourite both locally and around the world.
Prices start from $2,750. The Aquaracer collection is available at all TAG Heuer boutiques and official retailers.
