SMALL BUT MIGHTY
The new 42mm TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Watch punches above its weight.
It’s finally here: TAG Heuer’s Connected Calibre E4 Watch is now available in a gender-neutral 42mm size.
Packed to the brim with stellar technical features, the Connected Calibre E4 is the latest offering in TAG Heuer’s long legacy of delivering timepieces that combine both good looks and solid performance. The Swiss watchmaker has injected its horological know-how into the construction of the watch, which borrows traditional techniques and visual cues to mimic a mechanical watch.
Elegant features abound – the stainlesssteel case features polished and fine brushed finishing techniques, while the ridged crown is flanked by two chronograph pushers.
TAG Heuer demonstrates its eye for design with the ultra-slim bezel: It not only serves a functional purpose, but also enhances the chic and streamlined aesthetic of the smart watch.
Furthermore, the brand has added new watch face options, allowing users to select traditional dials if they’re in the mood for analogue, or something more futuristic. Leveraging on more than 160 years of experience crafting watch dials that offer a plethora of information in one streamlined package, TAG Heuer now offers digital features such as weather, wellness and calendar that can be viewed at a glance.
The customisation features extend to the straps as well, as the Connected offers an easy-touse interchangeable strap system, allowing you to swop between multicoloured rubber, leather or stainlesssteel bracelets. With this wide range of options, the watch can easily take you from a workout to a corporate dinner.
Fronting the campaign is tennis superstar Naomi Osaka, who’s been admired for her indomitable strength and power on and off the court. She’s also become a bona fide fashion icon.
Drawing a parallel with Osaka, the Connected boasts more than just good looks: It packs a punch when it comes to its technical attributes as well. The updated TAG Heuer Sports app continues to improve on its tracking performance across diverse disciplines, but the highlight is the seven-minute guided workouts that can be preprogrammed or suggested by the app. An animated character appears on screen, guiding you through the exercises and showing the correct form.
Best of all, the watch’s battery is autonomous for a full day, serving as a trusty companion throughout the vagaries of daily life. Indeed, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 is truly an exercise in elegance and function.
