DIOR X NENDO
Fashion designer Christian Dior believed that the most essential French aesthetics resided in the Palace of Versailles. He adored its iconic oval-backed medallion chairs so much that he used them in his maison. During Milan Design Week this year, Dior invited 18 international creatives to reimagine the chair for our times. Japanese studio Nendo naturally went the minimalist way with Medallion 3.0 Chairs made with a 180cm x 110cm, 3mm-thick glass bent to form a curvy backrest and base, while another domed sheet serves as the seat. An oval cut-out completes the design.
The Dior Medallion 3.0 chairs are produced in clear, frosted, black and pink ombre glass. Visit www.nendo.jp and www.dior.com for more information.
