HWM (Singapore)

BASIC PLANS

-

This tier is the most competitive with every telco except Singtel offering a SIM-only, no contract option. Circles.Life once again offers the cheapest plan, but with some caveats. Circles.Life is the only telco that charges you for incoming calls, and the base talktime of just 100 minutes is also quite restrictive. If you want unlimited incoming calls you’ll have to top up $2 every month. Adding on data is also quite expensive at 1GB for $6, unless you opt for Circles. Life’s 20GB for $20 option, but that makes your plan $48/month.

The best value for this tier is MyRepublic’s&Smart&plan, which offers a well-rounded bundle of talktime, SMS, and data, with no charges for Caller ID, incoming calls, or excess data usage. If you also subscribe to MyRepublic’sbroadband services, you also get a bonus 3GB data, for a total of 10GB, which is excellent value. If you travel a lot, M1’s&mySIM³

40 plan gives 10GB data for just $40 and its Data Passport add-on lets you use your local data overseas for just $10/month ($25/month to certain destinations).
