WHERE IN SINGAPORE DO YOU LIVE?

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT IT?

Central

I live on Orange Grove Road, just off Orchard Road. I adore my location, as I’m minutes away from shops and restaurants. Yet it’s still quiet, green and leafy. It’s a family-friendly neighbourhood that’s just 15 minutes by foot from the Botanic Gardens – and, of course, only five minutes to the expat enclave of Tanglin Mall.

We live quite centrally in One Tree Hill. We love being in this location, as we can bike or walk to Orchard, River Valley, the Botanic Gardens and Dempsey. Melissa

We’re really fortunate to live right at Robertson Quay along the river, at a condo named Rivergate. I can’t say enough good things about this condo and neighbourhood. Right along the river we have access to several bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The river is also a super child-friendly place; our kids enjoy biking and scootering around there. Our condo has a gigantic pool (probably the biggest I have seen in Singapore), which has been amazing for the kids to learn how to swim and play with their friends! Nisha

North & West

I live in Bukit Panjang. We bought an apartment last year to be closer to nature. Our home is right next to a park-connector that leads to Chestnut Nature Park, which is Singapore’s largest primary forest. It’s super green and the kids love being close to nature. Dee

I live in Bukit Timah near Tan Kah Kee MRT. It’s a very green area with lots of fabulous playgrounds including Watten Estate Park. I absolutely love it here because it’s quiet and family-friendly, with lots of nature. It has some lovely local shops and a wonderful mix of people. In fact, the only thing it’s missing is a pharmacy but you can order from Watsons and Guardian online now!

I live in Choa Chu Kang and I enjoy being in the west as it’s comparatively quieter than other regions. It’s a family-friendly neighbourhood, too, as this part of Singapore has quite a lot of newly built HDB flats, so we tend to see many young families living in the area. There are lots of new playgrounds, shops, supermarkets, fast-food restaurants and cafés just a stone’s throw away from us, so it’s pretty convenient. Evelyn

We live in a new development in Bukit Batok West. There are many young families in this area as a couple of BTO (Build To Order) flats launched at the same time. Because of that, there are many childcare centres and kindergartens around.
