Australian International School

-

Poppy Connolly, Year 3, Australian

I started at the Early Learning Village of AIS in Term 3 of 2017. I enjoy being in the playground, classroom and pod areas. I like that I’m able to participate in different activities such as art, PE, music or learning a new sport.

My academic strength is in Maths – I love learning new strategies and enjoy extending my knowledge. I also enjoy Art as we get to create lots of cool pieces, such as our own version of Mona Lisa or sculpting Matryoshka dolls; I love experimenting with different colours and creating beautiful art pieces.

A major highlight of my time in school was in Year 1, when I created a programme called Activity Time. With the support of my teacher, Mr Bird, I was able to share the programme with the whole year level during an assembly.

When I graduate, I would like to be the Prime Minister of Australia so that I can make sure everyone is caring towards one another.

I also have a strong interest in global issues like climate change and empowering young girls to become leaders. Many artists and singers also inspire me. Both of these are things I would like to do when I’m older.
