Hublot cel­e­brates its 10 years in foot­ball with a campaign star­ring the sport’s hall of famers for UEFA Euro 2016.

In its decade- long love af­fair with foot­ball, Hublot has col­lab­o­rated with not just teams and tour­na­ments, but also le­gends of the sport. This year, as the of­fi­cial watch part­ner of UEFA Euro 2016, the brand again re­cruits the em­blem­atic fig­ures of foot­ball for a series of pow­er­ful por­traits ti­tled “What Is Your Euro Mo­ment?” The campaign fol­lows a pre­vi­ous ef­fort from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, in which soc­cer stars posed with fan­ci­ful foot­balls de­signed by renowned Brazil­ian artist Romero Britto. Now, vir­tu­oso play­ers and cel­e­brated coaches proudly share their per­sonal Euro game high­lights, as pho­tog­ra­pher Fred Merz cre­ates im­ages por­tray­ing them in their prime. In­au­gu­ral games, golden goals, and stun­ning vic­to­ries – these are the crown­ing mo­ments that res­onate with pas­sion­ate fans, and by presenting these sto­ries and emo­tions, Hublot strength­ens its sta­tus as the ver­i­ta­ble game master of the pop­u­lar sport.

Nat­u­rally, Hublot’s re­la­tion­ship with foot­ball is ac­com­pa­nied by a ros­ter of lim­ited edi­tion time­pieces, each as­so­ci­ated with a spon­sored club or cham­pi­onship. Dur­ing the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the watch­maker even cre­ated a ded­i­cated soc­cer timer in the Big Bang Unico Ret­ro­grade Chrono­graph, hous­ing a pro­pri­etary move­ment con­ceived specif­i­cally for tim­ing foot­ball matches. This so­called “Soc­cer Bang” re­turns on the oc­ca­sion of Hublot’s third Euro par­tic­i­pa­tion dressed in the colours of France, the host coun­try for UEFA Euro 2016. Like its pre­de­ces­sor, the chrono­graph is dis­tin­guished by two ret­ro­grade hands that clock the min­utes and sec­onds on a scale de­lin­eat­ing 45- minute halves of a match, with 15 min­utes of ex­tra time (for a to­tal of 60 min­utes). A cen­tral aper­ture in­di­cates which half is be­ing timed, while reg­u­lar time­keep­ing oc­curs on a lower sub- dial. The sporty time­piece is fit­ted with the sig­na­ture Unico 45mm case in black ce­ramic and “One Click” in­ter­change­able strap sys­tem, and is lim­ited to 100 pieces.
