Men's Health (Singapore) - - ASK -

Yes, it is possible to get into trouble even if you follow the speed limit. Under the law, (the Active Mobility Act 2017) there are other factors which may result in an e-scooter driver being responsible for causing injury to a pedestrian. These include, amongst others, failing to immediately stop your e-scooter when the accident occurs, failing to give immediate assistance to the victim, and/or not giving one’s personal particulars to the victim. The driver risks being fined up to $3,000 and/or receiving up to 12 months’ jail time.
