The chalet is a home from home, designed as an intimate and inviting mountain retreat rather than a standard luxury hotel. Exquisite attention to detail abounds; the design story is modern and refined, with eclectic styling and a fabulous art collection. This is the only hotel in Megève with a Ski Valet and Ski Concierge – kit and logistics are taken care of, from boots and passes to reservations and private tuition. Helicopter ski safaris can also be arranged.

The established Le 1920 sparkles with two Michelin stars and will delight gourmands and casual diners alike, with ingredients sourced from Rothschild estates around the world – think olive oil from South Africa, honey from east of Paris and venison from the ÎLE-DEFRANCE. For something more casual, choose Japanese-inspired Kaito, then head to Bar Edmond for your favourite tipple or let loose and allow the staff to create a bespoke drink for you.
Snow sports are not to everyone’s tastes. Lounge lovers can opt to chill in the spa and indulge in the Four Seasons’ wellness program, comprising face and body treatments, coaching, physio, hairdressing and even Watsu. Fancy a round on the links? The Mont d’Arbois 18-hole golf course, designed by three-time British Open champion Sir Henry Cotton, is one of the oldest and finest alpine courses in the world.
