DEAR READERS
Itrust all of our readers had a wonderful summer and enjoyed many of the countless holidays, or festivals, in their region that have taken place over the past few months. I hope that some of you managed to take a well-earned break during what is, for many of us, a time of great business uncertainty. Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, China and America are all facing huge challenges, that continue to cause global concern for businesses. Our cover story this month features an individual who needs no introduction and who, whatever the business climate, always seems to be in high spirits and finding something positive to say. Sir Richard Branson’s life is never boring and, as you will read, he has some rather interesting views on how to succeed in business.
As usual, we have crisscrossed the globe to find some inspirational business stories to offer you. From the incredible rise of the beer industry in China and subsequent growth of CRB, to the Austrian refrigeration company (AHT) with a boss determined to tackle climate change and food waste. We also have features from Lithuania, USA, the Middle East and Taiwan.
If you are a keen golfer, then you need to turn to our Lifestyle section and see some of the most beautiful golf destinations in the world. Even if you don’t enjoy playing a round, there is plenty to keep you busy at these resorts, and views to die for.
For those wishing to try something new, there is a fascinating look at the rise of non-alcoholic spirits company Seedlip, and their founder Ben Branson, who look set to change the way we drink socially. Personally, I’ll stick to my vodka martini for now – at least until the stock market calms down and we can all begin to relax again.
Cheers!
