DEAR READERS
It’s that time again – Christmas is almost here and we’re not staring down the barrel of a lockdown, at least in the UK (hopefully I haven’t spoken too soon). This is cause for celebration alone, and given the fact many of us weren’t able to spend the festive period with family last year due to COVID restrictions, there’s even more reason to raise a glass or two. The coronavirus is still a massive issue but as the world edges towards something more familiar, other pressing issues are grabbing the headlines, notably another crisis: global warming. November’s COP 26 in Glasgow highlighted just how urgently governments, businesseses, and individuals need to act to save the planet, so the theme of sustainability runs through this issue. Judith Wiese, Siemens AG’s CPSO, discusses how the global tech giant is tackling global warming for our cover story, and we also talk to CEOs and top execs from companies in Europe and the Middle East about going green and adapting to a post-pandemic world. Look out for the MCH Group, B&B HOTELS, Alef Group, and many more.
In the lifestyle section you’ll find stories about London’s five-star Hotel 41 – just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace – and a trip to Portgual’s Quinta do Lago resort.
Have a great Xmas.
