Montblanc refreshes Marina Bay Sands space

Montblanc unveils its refurbished home on Canal Level at The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands, a combination of a boutique and a pop-up concept, with the former offering timepieces, writing instruments, leather goods, and the latter updated regularly to highlight special collections; a travel hub featuring the limited-edition Montblanc x Pirelli Trolley was the first to call it home. Other dedicated spaces include the Montblanc Ink Bar, the first in Southeast Asia, where clients can test out pens, inks and nibs; Digital Corner, set aside for the brand’s Summit smartwatches; Collectors Lounge, for customization services and viewing of limited-edition items; and Leather Atelier, which houses a library of more than fifty varieties of skins.

Cartier presents high jewelry collection in London

Cartier’s latest high jewelry collection, Magnitude, received a warm welcome in London with a presentation held at 180 The Strand, followed by a party at Shoreditch Town

Guests included friends of the maison Claire Foy, Lily Collins and Bianca Brandolini, and the entertainment comprised performances by singer Beth Ditto and DJ sets by Paul Sevigny and Mimi Xu. Pieces in Magnitude represent a study of the synergy between gemstones and hard stones — rutilated quartz with diamond, opal next to sapphire, rock crystal against emerald, and coral coupled with pink diamond — and the contrast of materials.

Panerai welcomes Gregorio Paltrinieri as Ambassador

The Italian swimmer, Olympic gold medalist and world record holder for the 1,500-m freestyle has been named Panerai Ambassador for Italy. The first watch Paltrinieri chose is the Submersible BMG-Tech 47mm, outfitted with the in-house P.9010 automatic movement, the highly resistant BMG-Tech alloy and a caoutchouc strap. “A few seconds can change the outcome of a whole event. The measurement of time and the quality of my performance as a swimmer are inextricably linked,” he says of his new partnership with Panerai.
