“A Night at the Opera: An Opera Aria Recital by Baritone Martin Ng” will be streamed ‘live’ from the Victoria Concert Hall Dance Studio on 29 September at 7: 30 p.m., on Facebook Live, YouTube Live, and Instagram Live. Pianist Beatrice Lin will accompany ng in a program comprising arias from classic operas and stage literature, including The Barber of Seville by Rossini, The Elixir of Love by Donizetti, Don Carlo by Verdi, Hamlet by Thomas, The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, and Andrea Chenier by Giordano.
L.A.- and London-based interior architecture and design studio Fettle has recently completed its latest project, Tavolino, a new restaurantbar overlooking both City Hall and Tower Bridge in London. Fettle co-founders Tom Parker and Andy Goodwin drew inspiration from Milanese coffee bars and traditional Florentine trattorias for the project. The space includes a few whimsical elements such as patterned sheers that wrap around the ground floor, and lush planting cascading from the mezzanine and bar bulkhead.
Furniture, design, and style purveyor Grafunkt and original fabric designer Onlewo collaborate on what they describe as “a playful deconstruction of the original Quaderna desk”, launched in 1970 by Superstudio. The Singaporean duo has created a series of non-normative objects that a user can employ to his ends. The stool and ottoman are dressed in graphic tile design, reminiscent of the ’70s choice construction cladding.
