A showcase of the best of the best by Porada

- By Marc Almagro

Porada’s Twenty Collection stays faithful to its use of solid wood and marble while expanding its vision with whimsical touches like smoky cast glass and practical elements like a new rock tabletop finish.

Conceptualized by award-winning architecture duo G. & O. Buratti, the Alan dining table exudes visual appeal. Half-moon shaped legs crafted from solid canaletta walnut–stained or left natural, you choose – is topped by a round or rectangular tabletop in glass, wood, marble, or rock. Metal end-feet are finished in stately black chrome. It’s not all about looks with this feature piece.

Designer Jiun Ho is a master of finding harmony in contrasting materials and textures. His Shibumi dining table, released by Porada this year, is no exception. A striking feature of this new dining accouterment is the table’s triangular legs, expertly crafted from brushed and bronzed brass and solid ash.

The Jelly side table glides playfully into any contemporary space. Designed by Carlo Ballabio, Jelly comes in two heights: 40 cm or 55 cm. The tabletop is formed from marble, wood, or a whimsical 15 mm thick cast glass in smoke, clear, or green.

Ballabio has created the innovative Jupiter range of wall-mounted clothes hooks for Porada. Cleverly adapted from his Jelly side table, these hooks can be used to practically adorn the walls of a home or office. The smoky cast glass discs, mounted onto the wall with a solid canaletta walnut base, are reminiscent of the vibrant planetary orb the range takes its name from.
