EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE
Marquis HQO, together with veteran design consultant Patty Mak, come together to breathe life into this modern and luxurious good class bungalow
The home’s role has changed greatly in recent years, especially with more people opting to stay in. This change also brought with it a shift in mindset, especially when it comes to the use of space dedicated for specific activities like work, play, and entertainment.
Proving this is a recent residential project between Marquis HQO and Patty Mak, a veteran design consultant. Together, they completed a GCB family home that features four distinct co-living areas — private sanctuaries that meet entertaining, dining, and even outdoor needs.
Architecturally, the home is inspired by a courtyard concept, where various areas of the house surround an outdoor space. With resort living in mind, the lush landscape of the outdoor area welcomes the residents as they enter, followed by an open view of the main living halls, as well as the 12-meter pool on one side.
The furniture chosen also plays an important role, which helps anchor the various areas and segregate the different sections of the home. The harmonious elements throughout are brought together by the minimalist and sleek furniture styles from Marquis HQO, which were chosen to complement the resort-like surroundings, offering an overall feeling of balance and tranquility.
