THE WOODWARD, AN OETKER COLLECTION MASTERPIECE HOTEL, GENEVA, SWIZTERLAND
Alessio Minetto, General Manager
In these uncertain times, the most successful ones are the ones who can adapt quickly in terms of available resources and feature attractive offers that targets the local market.”
PROPERTY’S RESPONSE TO EVER-CHANGING TRAVEL REGULATIONS
We review forecasts regularly and adapt resources accordingly per department. We have trained colleagues to protect themselves and others from infection by following the rules on hygiene and physical distancing. We have also updated our cancellation policy (2 days prior to arrival to avoid 1 night penalty) to feature attractive offers.
In addition, we now offer a variety of dishes/specialties on the room service menu for those who feel safer to dine in their own suite, organize PCR tests upon request in the hotel, and limit the number of guests in our restaurants and bars.
ENSURING PEACE OF MIND
The hotel follows the announcements of the Federal Council and applies new measures on a regular basis. The comfort, health, and safety of our guests and employees is our primary concern. The Woodward makes sure its high standards of health and hygiene are firmly in place.
LESSONS LEARNED
Things must be easy to do and undo. In these uncertain times, the most successful ones are the ones who can adapt quickly in terms of available resources and feature attractive offers that targets the local market.
TRAVELER EXPERIENCE AND PREFERENCES
Our guests look forward to enjoying life to the fullest after having been confined or quarantined. Guests who travel to Geneva want to make the most of their stay and are less price sensitive and tend to book amazing dining experiences, and even ordered nice bottles of wine. Some also show greater interest in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
UPDATED TRAVEL CHECKLIST
The modern traveller’s travel checklist must include a sanitary pass or digital Covid certificate, face masks, hand sanitizer, as well as the ability to keep an eye out for current outbreaks and available test centers.
