Crafted by master Whisky maker Bob Dalgarno from a small proportion of maturing casks, the macallan rare Cask draws from the broadest range of cask profiles — 16 different styles, the most ever used in a single macallan whisky. spanish and american sherry seasoned oak casks, a high fraction of them first fill, impart a resplendent hue and an unmistakably woody flavour, with notes of vanilla, citrus, spices and chocolate. its sculpted glass decanter also offers the best means of admiring the whisky’s rich natural colour.
