Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic

Bvlgari’s crowning glory this year breaks three records and is currently the world’s thinnest self-winding tourbillon, slimmest tourbillon and, most impressively, thinnest automatic wristwatch. Measuring just 3.95mm, it is powered by the 1.95mm-thin BVL 288 self-winding movement that’s equipped with a white gold-and-aluminium peripheral oscillating mass. It features a ball-bearing system, flying tourbillon, openworked dial, titanium body and a closed case back – all of which help to reduce heft. An unusually shaped window on the case back, shaped after the doorway of Bvlgari’s flagship boutique on Via Condotti in Rome, reveals the oscillating weight in action as well as the tourbillon.
