W. Atelier has reopened the doors to its Bukit Timah showroom and as promised, it is bigger and better than before
glass doors open up to reveal stylish Scandinavian furniture — daybed, sofa and lounge chairs — from Republic of Fritz Hansen, as if inviting guests to make themselves comfortable. At one corner, the iconic Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen sits with grace, like royalty waiting to greet its loyal subjects.
Welcome to the new W. Atelier showroom at Bukit Timah. Aptly named House of W. Atelier, this freshly renovated store is designed to replicate the layout of an actual house. Explains Managing Director Gani Atmadiredja: “We want to immerse our customers in a luxury experience that can be theirs to own at home.”
As such, the retail space has been decorated with fine furnishings from a curated list of brands. These include Italian furniture design companies Zanotta and Lema, as well as lighting brands such as Danish- based Lightyears, Barcelona- based Santa & Cole, and Lasvit from Czech Republic.
What’s more, the Bukit Timah outlet serves as the Singapore flagship for Republic of Fritz Hansen and Siematic, proving that its partnership with these brands continue to grow stronger. Chairs from Fritz Hansen line both sides of the showroom’s front entrance, including Drop and Series 7, and the Favn sofa, while also adorning living and dining room spaces. The kitchens have been stylishly designed to reflect three unique themes — Classic, Pure and Urban — with products by the German brand.
Much attention to detail by W. Atelier, clearly, has gone into creating a contemporary luxury home, allowing guests to easily picture how their own homes could turn out. Lasvit’s Lollipop pendant lamps, designed by Slovakian designer Boris Klimek, give the dining room colour with a touch of fun; while the living room is made warm and cosy with the Cestita table lamp, crafted by Catalan designer Miguel Milá in 1962.
To take the home experience further, W. Atelier has roped in culinary studio My Turn to Host ( MYTH). This partnership will see MYTH organising programmes on cooking, baking and hospitality at the showroom, where customers can enjoy exclusive workshops in the Siematic-adorned kitchen.
