Kishin RK hosted a high fashion party at private club 1880, at Intercontinental Robertson Quay, with two top Indian designers in show. Renowned Indian couturier Suneet Varma presented Naintara, his latest collection that beautifully married traditional Indian craftsmanship and motifs with fresh silhouettes. Popular resort- and cocktail-wear designer Nandita Mahtani sent two collections down the runway: her Moroccoinspired Pride Collection of party-ready frocks and separates, and a feminine Diwali Collection in a palette of gold, silver and beige. Chatter among guests was rife with plans to shop the collections at a trunk show the next day, even as the after-party stretched into the night.
