BRIGHT LIGHT

WHAT: Kew Organics O2 Oxygen Facial Treatment (120 minutes; $360)

WHERE: Kew Organics Facial Bar at #03-83 Clarke Quay Central (there are other outlets, at Everton Park, Cluny Court and oue Downtown Gallery) Kew Organics, founded in 2014, offers a comprehensive menu of organic face and body treatments for men and women as well as its own organic skincare, made with ingredients from Japan and Canada.

I tried the Kew Organics O2 Oxygen Facial Treatment, which involves what’s touted to be the latest advancement with respect to hydration and anti-ageing in skincare. It uses a multi-functioning machine that does several things, including exfoliate and re-oxygenating the skin.

The result: visibly brighter and softer, smoother skin. This oxygen treatment is absolutely pain free, with zero downtime, and is perfect for just before special occasions, where you want to look your best, or for those looking for an effective dull-skin rescue.

UP, UP AND AWAY

WHAT: Maria Galland Absolute Youthful Lifting treatment (75 minutes; $280)

WHERE: Available at nine locations across Singapore (call 6278 2633 for details) French beauty house Maria Galland Paris recently introduced its Absolute Youthful Lifting treatment alongside its Lift’expert product range, in a bid to provide a holistic lifting and anti-ageing solution.

The treatment employs 100 percent manual lifting methods, with deep, gliding strokes and intensive kneading motions, that claim to give instant results.

Post-treatment, I noticed more defined facial contours. My wrinkles were also slightly less obvious. No one can expect miracles in just one session, but I definitely observed a more lifted mien and plumper skin.

What’s different about this brand is that besides understanding the need for individualised skincare, it offers healthy eating and lifestyle recommendations, such as exercises and facial yoga, which you can do at home.
